2 eggs 1 c. sugar 1 c. flour 4 Tbsp. cocoa 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. butter ( or margarine ) 1/2 c. nuts if you like
Mix butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add cocoa and flour which has been sifted together as cocoa is lumphy some times. Bake in small pan or pyrex ( as it is a small cake ). Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. If it falls don't worry. That makes it better !
Icing:
2 c. sugar 4 Tbs. cocoa ( sifted ) 1/2 c. milk 1/2 stick butter 1/3 c. white corn syrup 1 tsp. vanilla
Boil until soft ball stage. I stir all the time so it won't stick. Beat until it begins to thicken. Put on cake quickly. I always leave cake in dish and ice it in dish.
